In a recent amendment, we have therefore asked the council to create a compilation of the sports facilities in Offenbach, directed specifically at women. It is to be a brochure.

Among the many members of the Offenbach Sports Clubs, about half are people with an immigrant background. The proportion of foreign girls and women is low. While it is obvious that the father and / or son drive active in sports clubs, the sports participation of immigrant women remain low. This has been confirmed by the German Gymnastics Federation on the basis of a study.
It applies with sports clubs and other sports providers to consider together, what courses can respond to the special needs of migrant women. It requires special care and sensitivity. Only then can barriers be reduced and to create confidence.
